IMPORTANCE OF AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EXHIBITION
Holding an art exhibition is an idea that can be very smoothly integrated into project work. The art show should be designed so it does not distract from the main idea of the project work but instead provide children with another way of seeing and thinking about the concepts they are learning, in this case we studied, Imagination and the Brain. Running the first ever Salem State Preschool Art Show was a very unique opportunity that took a lot of unpaid extra hours and commitment. I did it because I was so impressed by the artwork the kids were making and I really wanted to share that pride with the families and community members. I saw an art show as a great way to enhance the image of the child and a way to give the kids a true sense of self-worth, pride and accomplishment, hopefully to motivate them in the future to follow their dreams.
